I am on day 3 of phase one. I am hungry all the time despite eating the suggested daily menu plus a little extra of the allowed foods. I also have been having a headache. I am not sure if this hunger is giving me the headache. Has anyone else experienced this?

Thanks SUsan.

As always, you are full of answers. I will try and drink more water ( making a face). I am really not a big water drinker in the winter. I drink a lot when I work out but otherwise, none. I just do not have a taste for it. I feel like I am eating all day. That's the problem. Nothing is filling me up. I am still famished.

Hi Monica,

About day 3-4 was the tough spot for me.

Normal, yes, and I agree that somewhere around days 3 and 4 seem to be the most difficult--were for me. Now on Phase 3, if I overeat high glycemic foods in one day, I feel weird. Effects of detox go both ways!

I hope it's normal! I am starving but DH is not and we both are on day 3. I don;t have headaches but am completely exhausted. I have been sneaking in some extra snacks - peanuts, pistachios, string cheese - when I am just really hungry and can't get it off my mind.

Hope it passes like the others said!!

Monica,

The first couple of days were hardest for me, too. I was dizzy and had headaches, but they went away by about the third or fourth day. My secret to overcoming the food urges was sugarfree gum. I carried a pack with me EVERYWHERE and everytime I wanted to eat something I shouldn't or didn't need, I popped in a piece and told myself that I could have whatever it was once the gum lost it's flavor. Most of the time, I didn't want it anymore, and if I did I was able to have just a little bit and then put it down.

The other good secret I found was to seperate the "bad" food into smaller portions. We had cookies in the house, so I put them in baggies of two or three. It's easier to stop when you finish a portion rather than just dipping into a pile of something you shouldn't have :-) It beats the "Well, I've already blown it with one so I might as well go for four" idea!

Good luck, and let me know if you need anything else!

Shan
