Okay, I wrote this and then later found the link to my assigned buddy. sorry to waste any-one's time but I don't know how to delete the post. So, new friends are welcome of course, but I'm no longer buddyless!

Jennifer

Hello,

My husband and I started Phase 1 on New Year's day, and I'd like a "buddy".

I'm 35, two kids (ages 5 and 2) plus critters.

We're not veggie fans so I'm allrecipe.com-ing for SBD friendly recipes to try. And I think ricotta is great in baked ziti, but pretty weird as a dessert, though we're trying. I can't do the diet Jello thing (aspertame gives me headaches) so I'm kind of not having sweets at all right now, except occasionally choc ricotta creme which tastes good but has a funny consistancy I'm not fond of.

I've been on a few other diets: Jenny Craig (lost weight very slowly and was freaking starving and irritable all the time), Atkins (only lost like 2 lbs in first 2 weeks, never went into ketosis, got frustrated and quit), Zone (I felt really good doing that one, didn't lose weight though, didn't like all the mental measuring). What appealed to me about SBD is that it makes so much sense - you're eating healthy foods that are good for you, the kinds of foods we were "meant" to eat, and actually getting calcium and vitamins without depending on supplements for them. I have IBS and it's only been a few days but so far it's improved (what a relief!) Anyway, I'd like to lose about 60 lbs. We're not the athletic types, sometimes I go for walks when it's not too hot out, or and exercise video or the mini trampoline. I live in Mesa, AZ.

Guess that's it!
