Can't find them in the market

I brought a lot of stuff for a whole week of Phase One but the market didn't Pistachios and Canadian Bacons. The only bacon they had were Key Food Bacons and Boar's Head Bacon. I never had pistachios so I don't really know what it looks like. I was looking for it in the nuts section and I even ask the person who was working there. Sigh!

As for dessert, I was so excited to eat dessert. I hardly eat dessert because I don't have junkies in my home. As I was getting the dessert done, I took a spoonful of vanilla ricotta cheese. To my surprise, it tastes YUCKIE!!! Got any idea to replace that?

What do you think?

Sometimes you feel like a nut...

Pistachios are small and in a sort of half-shell thing. Here's a picture from the Pistachio Commission (it's big, but the only one I found):

Hi!

Did you ask about Canadian bacon at the deli counter? That's where our grocery stores have it (with the cold cuts like salami and ham). I found it, but just posted about what to do with it...cook it? heat it? eat it cold?

Good luck with the pistachios! I haven't tried looking for them yet.

Oh, yeah. IT was Canadian Bacon you were looking for. Sorry, I posted about a lower fat, regular bacon. Canadian bacon is round, like a large pepperoni. Great on pizza (NOT until waaaaaay later for the pizza, though!!).

I would KILL for Boar's Head here!! The best deli meats in existence and I can't get them - wahhhh!!

Anyway - Canadian Bacon is ususally near the hot dogs and bacon (at least in the grocery stores I go to). It comes presliced in a vacuum sealed plastic. If you can't find it ask at the deli counter = they can direct you or might have it to slice.

Planters makes a 16 oz. bag of pistachios - i find them near the snacking nuts section. Good luck! Pistachios are really yummy I think

Did you just start? I don't know but, I am assuming that thinks that taste YUKIE now might not be so bad after a few days without sugar. So you might want to try it again in a few days.

good luck

I eat this Canadian bacon all the time, so you'd think I'd have the label memorized - I think the brand is Jones (like the sausage company).
