Hi Everyone!

I have so many questions - I am in my second day, I read the book over the weekend and was excited to start.

I am having a surprisingly easy time without my bread, potatoes (which I LOVE!!) rice, pasta and sugar. What I am having a really hard time without is regular cheese!! I have hated all the low/reduced fat stuff I have tried. Any one have any suggestions?

Also, Has anyone tried the new "atkins firendly" wraps at subway?

Hi there. Have you tried Kraft 2% Cheese or Cabots 50% cheese? They are pretty good. Just remember to listen to your body. Some on here have gone full fat cheese while others have stuck to what Dr. A says and have gone the light route. Me, I have waivered in between, but I actually like the taste of the Kraft 2% Mild and Sharp Cheddar better!

I am going to respectfully disagree somewhat about the wraps. The further you get in to Phase 2 and into phase 3, you know what your body can handle and what you body can't handle. In a pinch or just a change from the norm, the wraps seem allright. Everything is all right in moderation. Late phase 2 (meaning you are so close to your goal weight you are happy dancing all over the place) and phase 3 (meaning weight maintaining) are mean, IMO, to chosing the right foods to maintain. Yeah, I know Dr. A wants SBDers to eat the most purist form of wheat possible, but when it comes to grains, you have to pick and choose what is best for your body.

From what I understand, Atkins executed correctly is a lifelong process just like SBD. They are different, but they are the same in the general principle of too many refine carbs might not the best thing in the world for certain people. Dr. A even credits Atkins for the basic principles.

Yeah, I'm rambling

I know my "stuff" but I am more of "Tweaker" than a "Purist." Neither are bad ways to follow, but newbies just learning might want to follow the more pure way until they get things under control.

Believe me, I was a purist the first two weeks. Now, I am so in and out of phase 2 and 3... it's weird. I just do what comes naturally and SBD is natural for me now! Rambling... lol.

Anyhow, I said all that to say, when it come to things, Maggie knows her stuff and has been following SBD like a true champion! GOooooooooooooooooo MAGGIE! I would go with her assessement before mine for a newbie! lol.

Jeeze... can I stop talking now? lol
