Sorry, I work for a mortgage company and the forms we have have to be in caps!!!! :)

Old Bay is what they steam seafood in. It's a spicy, pepper like spice....I don't know any other way to describe it, other than it is red. :)

(well I knew it was yelling, just forgot to turn them off :)

You can find it at the grocery store in the spice aisle. Near the pepper. It comes in a tin container like pepper. We have used it on a variety of things including, the forbidden, french fries!

I'll have to check the label...it's GREAT on steamed seafood (shrimp, crab)

It is used in season boiled peanuts too... YUMMY!

Anyhow, I don't see why not, but I would look at the salt content. If you like it and it doesn't help in retaining water, then I would say go for it. Then again, I'm wild and crazy:)

Yeah, I guess I probably should have checked the label before asking :) Just thought that somebody might have already done that !!!!

Thanks!

(and I'm still looking for the information on the daily dish--anyone?)

I would think old bay would be okay to eat. If you are not on the eastern part of the US, old bay might be difficult to find. I think steaming crabs & shrimp in old bay is somewhat native to the eastern shore.

go to the southbeach diet webpage, register, and go from there. don't sign up for the whole thing because you have to pay. that is how I did it, but lately, I haven't found interesting for me.
