Finding Ideal Target Weight.....

Need an idea of a target weight.

I'm 5 6 and 37 years old.

I now weigh 148.

Really, I don't look too bad.

I look fairly good - with clothes ON!

Naked, I have a problema body.

Only a slight double chin

Blessing of Big Boobies - Cs.

Problems:

Tummy, Thighs, Butt!!!!!

They are BIG and cottage cheesy!

I've been able to eat MOSTLY what I want in the past. Don't think my metabolism is too bad.

But what should be a target weight for me?

If I could just lop it outta the middle, that'd do it!

Maybe 130? Tried if you like 135, if not, go for 130! If you wanna lose more then go for 125-128! Perfect! I'm 5'5" 133lbs but just lost 3lbs and I'm only on day 2 of Phase ONE!!! I gained all that 14 lbs within past 3 months!

I think weight shouldn't be the golden rule personally. You've admitted your problem areas physically (tummy, thighs, butt) I say target them with serious strength training to tone, while incorporating cardio to burn any extra fat. This with a healthier way of eating (SDB, of course!) and you should see results that you like. It isn't about a number, but feeling healthy and content inside.

Good luck, we're here for you!

I am twenty years older than you, about 5'4 1/2", and did weigh 148 in September. My husband and I decided to try the south beach diet. In phase one he lost ten pounds and I lost seven pounds. In pase two he lost six more pounds and I lost four and a half pounds. I am now 137 1/2 pounds and have gone down 2 sizes and lost my stomach and inches off my hips. I was never really hungry on the idet. I think that there are "secrets" to not being hungry and that is to always have sugar free popsicles on hand to munch on and any of the free foods that are allowed in moderation. Also to never skip a meal or snack. That keeps you from cheating.

We did not follow every menu, but did folllow the "rules" of south Beach. It really does work. I did not exercise during the diet, but I am now exercising. It helps to maintain the weight and eat low carb.

Any questions you have, I will try to answer. I really feel this is a very healthy diet, and my husband never complained about any of it.

What is an ideal target weight? I do not know, but I think I am at a weight that I can easily maintain (because I did not gain over the holidays while eating more carbs). I have lost alot more weight in the past, but could not maintain it without starving myself. I think your body finds a weight that you can maintain if you eat properly.

I m 5'5" and weigh around 122 lbs. My ideal weight is 117 lbs. I know because this was my weight when I liked my body most. I was also working out 3 times a week so it is not only fat weight. That's how I know that I need to lose 5 pounds only. Keep in mind I have a very small frame so I already dont weigh much whether I have excess fat or not! you might have a medium or large frame then your ideal weight would be of course higher.

hope this helped

Personally, I am not going for a specific weight. I have set the goal of 50 pounds, but if I like what I look like prior to that, Im gonna be fine. You would NEVER guess my weight by looking at me - thank goodness - I am very proportionate.

I think you have to go by how you feel and how YOU feel about how you look. Size and numbers are "generic" and really cant be applied to everyone. Height, frame size, age etc. all make a difference. They do have to "generic" scales online - if you look for them.

Take care and good luck!!

I'd STILL love to lop it outta the middle...LOL! I'm 5' 6"ish and down to 120ish after 4 months. I feel healthy here and don't want to lose any more weight. However,
