Okay, so instead of taking my lunch break to get a much needed vanilla latte--I chose to go to Borders and check out the new SBD guide --- IT'S GREAT!

I haven't had a chance to really read it. Mostly, it breaks down EACH food and tells you if it's good or bad. It tells you how many carbs, etc are in each serving (and lists the serving).

It is a smaller, paperback and I think it was 7.99--what a great thing to throw in your bag if you are going on a vacation, or out to eat.

I think that someone said you can have yogurt in phase 1???? I didn't see that in this book....maybe I'm wrong...

Anyway, have a great day!

Hey there!

have you tried a Cafe Americano with sugar free vanilla syrup! OH MY! IT's great! Has about 3 grams of carbs and is a good treat for all phases... especially phase 1 because it doesn't have dairy!

YIPPIE!

From what I understand, you can get a cafe americano anywhere. It is espresso and hot water and is a little closer to American Coffee with a much more ZING of flavor.

I get mine at starbucks! It's about 2.35 for a tall. It is soooooo good! Ask for sugar free vanilla and STRESS the sugar free.

"What to do w/ plain yogurt?"

Keep in mind that I have a weird palate.. So these options are going to sound gross, but their not bad.

1)Make a plain yogurt dip by adding a dash of garlic powder and dip cucumbers and/or radishes.

It's sweet & sour and crunchy.

2)Mix yogurt w/ almonds and a tiny bit of vanilla.

Great for breakfast.

3)There's also a great sald dressing made w/ plain yogurt (a friend at work makes this)... As soon as I get it I'll pass it along.

I think the key is to not think of yogurt in its traditional sense and experiment w/ different food choices.
