OK I just thought maybe I would post this little story for everyone to get a little giggle this morning.....

To begin I was sooo lost on what "laughing cow" cheese was right from the very start of SBD because I just though it was some new cheese on the market that hasn't reached my grocery yet.....(this has been about 5 weeks I'm thinking this) So anyways, I went to Costco last night to pick up some eggs and I figured I look at the cheeses they had.... I saw these great little round mini bel cheese that I haven't had since grade school and I LOVE them.... so I bought a bag and was so happy to have snacks I could take to work. So I got home and showed the bf what I found..... he's like "LAUGHING COW!!!! YUM!!"

LMAO! I had NO idea what laughing cow was until he screamed it out loud last night! hehe I'm glad I FINALLY found out what you all are talking about..... It was cute... we reminisced for a little bit about those ones in foil that are triangular shaped where the foil always ends up stuck to the cheese..... (I like these little rounds better)

Thanks for reading....

;o)

That's a cute story!

Well, even though you've described them, I still have no idea what they are. I've looked at 3 grocery stores in the Detroit area and can't find it. (Granted, I am too chicken to ask somebody for them!!) Are they in the fancy cheese section, the lunch cheese section, the deli section? I am so confused!

I would think they are in the fancy cheese section in the grocery.... these were in the more expensive/fancy cheese section at Costco. They're round (about the size of a silver dollar) and red. These came in a red mesh bag. They have a little picture of a cow's head with two pierced ears with hoop earrings and laughing..... (please don't take offence if I'm telling you something you already know) I was too embarrassed to ask too at the grocery.....especially now that I finally found them. However so many people are on this diet that the grocery clerk would probably know exactly what your taking about and where to find them.

I can't believe I'm eating these again.... used to love these as a kid!

If you need any more help please ask.....

Yeah I was looking for it at a different store and asked. She was like "I've never heard of it"! It was on a display full of them. I think the work is out. When I was younger I had ate the rounds but didn't realize what the name of it was.

Very good rediscovery.

You know, I think it's coming back to me. I've never had them, but I can remember the red mesh bag with "something" in it. I just never knew that "something" was cheese. (I was *much* younger!) Thanks so much!!

Right.... sorry I know what the book is talking about though now.... I had those in grade school too.... the foil sticks to the cheese.....

Thanks for the pic....

Those baby bels are OK to have too.... (if they're low fat) I'm eating the regular ones though. I know I won't lose as much but those are the ones I can find and I think that's better than eating sweets or something....

I hate to burst your buble but I THINK you may have bought the wrong one

http://www.dairysection.com/united_states/laughing-cow-cheese.html

this is what the container looks like. It is usally where all the cheeses are in the grocery store. If you have Loblaws near by, they definatly have it.

I don't think that mini bel are the right kinds. Let me know if I am wrong.

You are right, the mini's aren't the one in the book they are talking about but you can still have it as long as it's fat free.

I'm sorry that I got everyone all upset about my little story about finding babybel cheese...... I understand that it's supposed to be low fat... I was just laughing at myself that I didn't have a clue what "Laughing Cow" was until I found that happy little smiling cow face with hoop earrings....

Regardless... low fat cheese is unlimited correct?? And even if it's regular cheese you can still eat it but you have to watch it and you wont lose as much.

Sorry for all the confusion...... just thought that maybe some others could relate and reminisce back to their grade school days for a minute ;o)

Peace, Love and all the Happiness in losing weight to everyone !!!!!
