Board Challenge: Tell Your Grocer!

I had the funniest experience in the grocery store tonight!  It was time for a big stock-up shopping trip.  I had my list, and found for the first time since I've been on the Beach that items on my list were sold out!  As I went around the store I started jotting down on the back of my shopping list what was out of stock.  Among the items were:  fresh ground turkey breast, extra lean ground beef, canadian bacon, natural peanut butter (I did get the very last jar of that), Laughing Cow cheese, and every brand of non-fat Fudgecicle!

After I was done shopping I took my list to the store manager who was working the customer service desk and said, "You are out of stock on these things...and let me tell you why."  I explained the huge popularity of SBD and that these are all staple items.  The manager didn't hesitate for a moment, and is putting in an order for all of that right away...and will have extra on her next order!  Store managers really want to know these kinds of things, they want to provide the items that are in high demand and make sure the customers find what they need.  It's good for you, and it's good business for the store.

I challenge all of you to jot down the SBD items your store either doesn't carry at all or is out of stock on, turn it in and make a difference!

P.S.  The store manager mentioned to me that she had lost 50 lbs. due to having a heart attack (and she only looked my age!!!).  I told her I was sorry, and then mentioned in conversation that the SBD was created by a cardiologist for his heart patients.  She said, "Hmmmm, I'm going to check that out."

Changing the world...one store manager at a time.   ;-D

Once again, Maggie, you should be paid to write! You're so well-spoken!

That's a perspective I hadn't thought of yet, the store manager's! It's a win-win for everyone, as we get what we want and they get more $$!

Thanks!
