Anyone using a George Foreman grill?

I received the JUMBO Foreman for Christmas and it came with a free rotisserie. WOW - both are great tools when cooking for the South Beach WOE! At first, I was putting it away every night, but now I just keep that bad boy out on the counter.

Plus, the grill came with a large cookbook with many SBD-friendly recipes (you just have to look for them). I can't believe how quickly it cooks (6 minutes for thick pork chops, 4-5 minutes for chicken, just a couple minutes for grilled veggies) - and how perfect everything turns out.

If you find yourself short on time - or like me, find that you're not a great cook, you cannot do wrong with this grill.

Geez, I sound like a commercial. I just wanted to pass on a healthy, time saving tip.

I love my George Foreman!! I picked it up new in the box at a garage sale on a whim. Sort of laughed at myself but the first time we tried it when our gas grill was out of propane we were floored at how well it cooks. I am a fan!!

Another tip I picked up right here (you girls are soooo good!) to make clean-up much easier is to lay a wet paper towel on the grill and close it when your done...the steam does wonders for the burned-on mess which just wipes right away!

That mess was the reason I dreaded using my grill! But not anymore! Jerk pork chops last night, and blackened steak tonight...yummy!

I LOVE my George! I use it every day for lunch time, to grill turkey burgers or a piece of chicken, and it's SO fast!!! I don't know what I ever did without it!!! :)

I've had my foreman grill for years. I agree about the water, steam and paper towels. With my first grill, I ruined it by trying to clean it incorrectly. The steam makes it so much easier. All I need is a little Mrs Dash lemon pepper (delicioso) and I'm good to go.

I LOVE MY GEORGE!

Here's a great cleaning tip.... RIGHT after you are done grilling, unplug it then place wet paper towels out on the grill and close it.

Do any of you that have this find that it dries the food out?

Mel since it cooks both sides at once, you need to cook less time than regular grill.
