Red wine, I feel guilty

I just had a glass of wine because I just got a job after 8 months of being unemployed. I guess I just needed to get it off my chest. Will this affect me?

It will not affect you! Congratulations! (I may have celebrated with a whole bottle LOL! J/K!!!)

There is a lot of flexibility and wiggle room here. Even on P1. While on P1 in November I had wine... and oh, no carrots! I was out, did not want to let on to being on to SBD and guess what I still lost 10 pounds in just shy of a month. I kinda lost a little control over the holidays... great with everything except for a sweet once in a while. A little came back on but I have lost 4 pounds over 2 weeks. (I attempted P1 again but with 2 kids at home with flu and ear infections I could not get to grocery store. Husband out of town and sitters banned from the house. I did the best I could with what I had and that's all I could do.

DO NOT BE SO TOUGH ON YOURSELF and give yourself and SB time to allow the results work their magic!

Yes, don't be hard on yourself! You actually did great! Red wine is allowed on Phase 2 anyway, so it's not like you had chocolate cake or something. :-)

Congrats on your new job!

You know in real life, you have to be flexible. I've been 'living' (cheating) and mainting my happiness and still losing weight. If I start to gain or stall out, I cut back and am on track again. This way, the SBD has become a WOE for me, rather than a diet. I was just as guilty early on, but you learn your limits. I must say that I'm not an emotional eater, just an occasional splurger. I've been unemployed for way too long, and when I get a job, I'm having at least TWO glasses of wine, so there!!!

Congratulations and good luck on the new job! If that's not a reason for a splurge, I don't know what is. And you made a pretty good choice to splurge with. So, I hope you enjoyed it, and now hop back on that wagon!

Congratulations on your new job!!! The whole point of this WOE is that you have flexibility. Just don't let the one glass of wine become the chink in the armour, so to speak.

Good luck

Shar
