Hi ladies

I'm home today - I spend thursday in a school (practicum for grad school) and they have a snow day today. So I'm being lazy - as I should - it;s a SNOW DAY after all. In any case, I have the View on in the background and they just ran a teaser about diets. At some point in this hour (11-12 eastern time) they are going to compare Atkins, Zone and SBD to see "which diet is right for you". Just thought I'd let you ladies know.

Yeah, but he said something like if I had to choose one the SBD was the better option because of the carbs, low fat and greens... it was not exactly a rave review with high flying colors. He also thought Dr. Phil's was decent because it involved common sense. Interesting similarity btwn SBD, Atkins, Zone, Sugar Busters, etc was all agreed no refined sugar, anything.... basically no white food.

Interesting that Joy Behar was noticeably absent!

Yeah I know. I tend to positive spin. :) But out of the options, he said SBD is the better choice. I noticed that too - that all the diets represented talked a lot about no sugar and overly processed white food.

Also dr. Phil is kinda funny about his bars and whatnot. I read in magazine (but haven't verified yet in the store) that his Shape Up bar more sugar than a candy bar. :)

To be honest he did not diss Atkins either. He said that despite all the uproar amongst doctors in the medical community, those on Atkins still had healthy cholesterol levels etc after 6 months. He said it works well and that the only downfall was that some people would get bored with it. He adviced people with heart problems should probably avoid it.

Just FYI!
