lose weight even with little to lose?

I've only got 10 pounds to lose. I gained 5 on a vacation last August and again 5 more during the Christmas season. Will the weight come off very slowly? What do I have to expect going on this? I already eat healthy, and good carbs but I eat a bunch of them is the problem. I also love baked potatoes! And I snack and snack and snack in the evening which I know has kept me from getting the weight off. Thanks for your help! :-)

I can definitely RELATE to you! I only have about 7-10 pounds to lose and I've been on SBD for about 5 days and I'm doing great! I haven't had one craving. I don't even miss my old way of eating. I'm more satisfied and eating more than ever before.
I like you used to skip breakfast...which would lead to dire hunger even before noon..so I would graze all day on junk....hard candy and chocolate were my favorites but I used to also be a banana NUT. I used to eat almost 6 bananas a day and I also used to drink mostly diet soda and a couple of regular sodas just to hold me up until dinner time. At dinner I would eat instant oatmeal or a small bit of whatever I cooked for my family at dinner time. I was not eating properly and I definitley was grabbing the wrong foods throughout the day. I always considered myself healthy. I am at a healthy weight (139) and I've had 2 boys...my baby is 1 year old...gained 60 pounds with him...lost all of it within 4 months except for the last 10 pounds. I workout regularly and always have.
So, I never thought I had a problem.
My goal was to start eating healthier...like I used to before I started my business and before I had my son's. I just wanted to get back to being myself. I ACTUALLY LIKE eating healthy and eating healthy and nutritious foods so it isn't hard for me to follow this diet. Thank heavens that I wasn't a big bread and rice or pasta eater before. My problem is my sweettooth....BUT GUESS WHAT??? I haven't had a single craving for anything sweet since starting this diet. I don't want to sabatoge myself. I just don't want it. I'm happy with half a NO SUGAR ADDED Fudgesicle per day! It helps.
My husband said to me today...out of the blue..."you're losing too much weight, eh?". He was watching me without me noticing while I was drinking water near our refrigerator.
That was my biggest booster. This is the man who asked me "Why on earth are you going on such a diet?" He doesn't think I need it but he understands how I am about my weight. I have to be within a certain range and that range is 129-135!! I'm pretty damn close..I think..haven't weighed yet and will let you ladies know next week!!!
Try the diet...you will love it and you will eat well and feel good too!!! Breakfast is a lifesaver.......!!! Skipping breakfast is not good. I know that now. It keeps you from getting hungry during the day.....
