Oh my!

These are so good!

I cannot find the recipe that someone posted on Monday...BUT, I tried them, I am not kidding. It felt like cheating!!!! Should I count these out like pistachios???? I could just eat these for EVERY snack if it was beneficial :)

Here is what I did---

used canned garbanzas...drained, and then dried (really really well per the instructions). Then I put tin foil on a cookie sheet (to prevent sticking). Then took a barbeque brush and lightly brushed olive oil over them. Then sprinkled with salt/pepper/cayenne pepper (you can use garlic powder as well apparently). Then baked for about 35 minutes. I noticed the longer you bake, the crispier they get (we liked them a little soft on the inside with the crunchy outside).

The only think I can't remember is what temp the oven was on....

Oh yea!

I do use them, but I don't have that little gadget--

I'll have to get that...It would be much easier.

Recipe for Baked Garbanzos

They ARE good aren't they!!!

Preheat oven to 425

Drain canned chick peas, rinse and dry REALLY well!

Place on jelly roll pan or cookie sheet with sides.

Lightly brush with 1 to 2 Tbs of olive oil

I added salt, pepper and garlic powder (cayenne pepper can be used too!)

Cook for 30 to 45 minutes depending on crunchiness desired.

Let cool but best if eaten warm!

Yum!
