About to take the SBD plunge.....

I went on SlimFast 2 years ago, lost 18 pounds and felt great. I had tons of energy, regular BMs, no blood sugar 'bounces', wasn't hungry or craving. In fact, I went cold-turkey on sweets and cokes, and didn't crave any of them. In the last 10 months I've gained 8 of those pounds back - my own fault, I went crazy one week and gained 5 pounds that never left, and then added 3 more over the holidays. The strange thing is, after feeling that great on SlimFast before, when I got serious about it again last week, I started feeling AWFUL. Exhausted, irritable (my poor DH!), hungry, headaches, bloated, constipated, you name it.
A dear friend of mine has just gone on South Beach so I thought I'd join her. Haven't gotten the book or really gotten started yet - my plan is to get the book and buy the stuff I need like low-fat cheese, etc., tomorrow. The last couple of days I've started cutting out bread, potatoes, sugar, etc from my diet, sort of like a 'head start'. So far, my energy level seems to be better already and I'm not hungry, although I would have killed for a Coke this morning (which is odd because I don't normally drink them anymore).
So far the only problem is, I discovered today that my stomach and eggs do not go well together at 6am. (I normally don't eat 'breakfast' until 8 or so and then nothing heavy.) Was nauseated all morning! So I'll know not to do that again. I've been eating regular cheese instead of low-fat and I really don't have an 'eating plan' yet, so I'm not expecting to lose weight this way, just wanting to get myself psyched up, I guess.
Any advice you have for me will be appreciated.... especially quick and easy breakfast ideas!
Thanks!
jill

The link below is a good place for newbies to start. Offers lots of tips, tricks, a few treats, and ideas for you to follow if you haven't got the book or decided to join the SBD website. Just stick like glue to the "foods to enjoy list" for your phase and you'll see Phase I success. Maybe not the whole 14 lbs the ads promise in Phase I, but some incentive-building weight loss for sure.
