Is it possible to have too many beans and cheese? My weight lose isn't as much as I would like for it to be for Phase 1. I just feel like I am eating cheese all of the time. Plus I made a big batch of chili with kidney beans and black beans. So far live lost 4.2 pounds, but I am on day 8! (Then again I did cheat over the weekend, but feel like I have exercised alot!) Does anyone else see their weight lose slow when they are eating more beans and cheese?

I may create hate and discontent here, not meaning to, but I do believe that you can eat too much of a good thing and not lose weight. I have at times eaten only the best quality foods allowed on this diet and gained weight.

So in my own personal opinion you should not over do on the items that are high in calories. But do feel free to eat lots of low calorie veggies. Fill up on them first, then eat your higher calorie items. Put lots of veggies, i.e. onions, celery, green peppers, etc in your chili.

I really do like the suggestion of a half a cup of veggies for breakfast and a cup each for both lunch and dinner.

I have to agree with Irene. You can eat too much of a good thing.

I also pay attention to my calorie intake (I don't count calories, I'm just aware of them). I try to always fill up on veggies first, then eat my higher calorie foods.

Try having a nice salad before your chili. =)

Why would you create hate and discontent by stating what you feel is good information.
