DH has a craving for Chinese food tonight. Any suggestions on how to order? I'm Phase 2 - but just barely and want to err on the side of caution.

Thanks,

Jaime

I can certainly sympathize with you. My dh is Chinese and so I know the challenges you face. A couple of suggestions would be chicken chop suey (pretty much all veggies except for the cornstarch to thicken the sauce), egg foo yung, steamed ginger crab, panfried prawns, and most Chinese restaurants do wonderful steamed fish. Beef and gai lan (chinese broccoli) and steamed baby bok choy are also good choices. Also, scallops and snow peas.

Hope these suggestions help.

I ordered chicken and veggies and an egg roll (which I will only eat the insides of). I'll do my best not to steal any of dh's sesame chicken - one of my all=time favorites. And, of course, no rice for me!

Does steamed chicken and broccoli contain any cornstarch or msg if i order it and do not put sauce on it (restaurant serves sauce on side for steamed dishes.)

Steamed anything should be just that, whatever the item is just steamed.
