I'm Anna

1/12 - almost done with the first week of Phase I and survived the weekend's events with one drink or forbidden food! Who knew I had will power? :)

I haven't really been out enough yet to know what my fave is yet. Had sashimi for the first time (that's just raw fish, no rice), it was alright but doesn't hold a candle to rolls. :( And no, my sushi place won't make rolls with brown rice (looking forward to phase II). Going out for dinner tonight - will let you know. :)

Hello, I am Meg, started SBD right after New Year's on January 5. I have been good about sticking to Phase I and DH is doing it with me, so that helps (although he "cheats" more than I do...haha). We have both "cheated" on certain days of Phase I because my DH had his birthday on 1/12 and today is mine! Needless to say, we were not "alcohol free"! We did go out for DH's birthday (the only time we have eaten out since starting the diet) and we went to a seafood place. I had scrod with garlic and lemon butter. Instead of the starch side, I opted for a salad and a vegetable. I did have a roll, but

Hi everyone,

My name is Becca, and I started SBD on October 26th. I love this WOE and find that it is really easy to go out to restaurants without cheating. Even though I am a "slow loser," despite my faithfulness to the Beach, I still love it. Beats maintaining or gaining any day of the week, and my way of looking at food has changed completely! The good news is that as long as I am patient with SBD, I will be likely to keep it off over my lifetime.

My favorite meal "out" so far is the Outback Victoria's Filet (which had always been a favorite of mine) with a plain sweet potato on the side (not P1-friendly). Sweet potatoes are one of my favorite foods, and I have never needed butter or brown sugar to make them good!

FYI, Don Pablo's (Mexican chain at least in Michigan) has lettuce fajita wraps that are made for low-carb diets (very yummy, but the lettuce can be a pain), Friday's has an Atkins menu (I know we're not Atkins, but it helps), and around here (Metro Detroit), Subway has an Atkins menu-- they are max 11 carb wrap sandwiches.

Can't wait to hear what your favorite meals at restaurants are; it never hurts to have new suggestions.

Hi!

My name is Polly

I started Jan 5 (lost 4 lbs)

My favorite meal out - Greek - chicken souvlaki, spinanch with garlic, Greek salad with feta cheese and olives, then home for my fudgesicle (I think what's kept me going has been the 15 almonds a day and the fudgesicle).

The best thing about this WOE - much reduced cravings! Thank you SBD!
