Hi,

Done with the first week of SBD and am sown 7 pounds. Some days it is easy and some days it is hard but overall it has been a good experience. I have a question. I don't know how to phrase this question but can I have a free day once a week on phase 2? I would follow the diet all of the six days but the seventh day it would be up to me to eat whatever I want. See, I have a hard time sticking with diets and if I did it this way, I would have a easier time following thru on the SBD. I am just wondering what everyone thinks. Thanks.

Just my opinion, but I think if you were to do an entire day every week dedicated to not dieting, then that really defeats the purpose of dieting.I think in a way that will become your yo-yo diet and you really won't be losing weight the way you hoped, let alone the way SBD is meant to be. This diet really does work if you follow it. We all splurge sometimes at a meal, but splurging for an entire day doesn't seem to be following the diet the way it was meant to be followed. I agree with Susan completely. If you want to splurge on one meal every once in a while, feel free and then just go back to eating the reccommended menu's for SBD. I know it seems hard, but after Phase I it's really not so bad. And Phase I is only 2 weeks. It's over so quickly!!!

When I started SBD, my weigh-in day was Mondays. But after a month or so, I realized I splurged on the week-ends, so I switched my weigh-in day to Fridays. On the weekend I am not on a schedule like during the week, so it was easy for me to slip and have something not in phase 2, but I usually didn't go crazy with every meal being bad.
