Ok, this goes out to the more experienced beachers....if you had to choose between all the bars, and shakes out there..wich would it be? Zone, atkins, edge, genisoy? Just a though...and in case of serious emergency (LOL).

Do mean a "I need something sweet" emergency?

i would not use any of them unless I was running and then I would use Luna Bars. Just what I have always used in the past.

Luna bars are the best tasting ones out there IMO. Cliff makes them. Anyhow, In 2000 when I was living, hiking, and working in the Colorado Rockies, one of the camp instructors gave me one while we were on a hike. It was great! I use them when I run on my long days (today is supposed to be a 5 miler, but dang it if it is not damp and cold outside!). Cliff designed them for women and what we need to keep going on. Better taster and more variety are what I liked about them. Chai Tea, Smores, and Lemon Zest are great! There is a Luna Glow bar that is supposed to be a lower carb choice because some people do replace meals with the bars. I did for a while because I was so busy and this was pre sbd, but I had fruit or yogurt or something like that with them. Here is the website www.lunabar.com for more information. it is a fun site just by the colors and all. I'm a celestial freak, and I love this board. lol.

Chocolate pecan pie and nutz over chocolate are great too!

I used to love Luna bars... but I agree, if you are in phase 1 or even 2, they are pretty high carb, and would only be good before strenuous exercise.

For a sweet fix, I LOVE Russell Stover Sugar Free Pecan Delights. YUMMM.

For a salty fix, I would choose cashews or other nuts over any ole bar. Those things are funky tasting and have lots of weird ingredients. Go natural, that's my thing.

I agree with Susan, the Russell Stover SF candies are so yummy and so are the SF Whitman Samplers.
