What is the amount for peanut butter on Phase 1? The book says 1 teaspoon (under foods to enjoy), but the cookie recipe recently posted makes mention that we can have 2 tablespoons! Big difference.

I know it must be natural peanut butter, but how much can I have?!

You're right...

Regular peanut butter - 1 teaspoon

Natural peanut butter - 2 tablespoons

I haven't tried the natural stuff yet, so I can't vouch for flavor.

Peanut butter amounts:
2 TBSP. of Natural peanut butter if you use in place of your protein for one of your meals.
Otherwise, the 1 tsp. of natural peanut butter stands when used as a snack.

We use only natural peanut butter on South Beach, because the "regular" brands use partially-hydrogenated fats (the worst kind) and many also use sugars.

The peanut butter amount was one of my big questions when I started, too!

I love the natural peanut butter. It is very oily; needs to be stirred upon opening very well. After the initial stirring it is all ready. Make sure to refrigerate.
