I think phase 1 start of phase 2 start completely depends on the person!!!
if you are like me and you gained all your weight on the high "c" diet - cake, cokes, cookies'n'cream then phase one is recommended - or if you have insulin resistance syndrome it can also help b/c you really do crave the sugar!
however, if you are already eating pretty healthy and or have a medical condition, then phase 2 is a great way to go and you can modify it to east into it!
I asked this question because although I did really well the first phase 1 (years ago) I was VERY tired and back then I kind of had that luxury. I just can't see myself going to school, running my house and tending to our new puppy without some energy.
It looks like to tomorrow is the big day. My Valentines day present to myself. :)
It is never too late to be the person you might have been.
You can definitely start on Phase 2 if that's what you want to do.
We've had lots of members succeed starting in phase 2.

Hi Michelle,
If I had it to do over again, knowing what I know now (I've been following the SBD lifestyle since 2003), I would skip Phase 1.
Thank you all for your input!
