What's your biggest motivation?

What's your biggest motivation when you are having a rough day - - i.e. why do you want to lose weight?
I did a lot of reflecting about this last night, and while I certainly have the superficial desire to look great in skinny jeans, my biggest factor in all of this is to have the best health possible when DH and I start TTC. It really rocked me when I had the MC in October, and then to be told that I also had a type of MC that can lead to cancer shook me. I want to do everything I can to give myself a healthier chance this time around. And, if we are successful, I want a healthy pregnancy.

What's your biggest motivation when you are having a rough day
Currently, my biggest motivation is that I will NOT be 50 and fat.
I am having that rough day today. My biggest motivation is staying alive and continue on my goal of making my body healthy, beating this Type 2 Diabetes Diagnosis, avoiding the complications that come with it such as, Heart attack, Stroke, Blindness, Kidney Failure, Amputation, and more. I know if I do this, the time I will have to spend with my Precious Miranda, will be quality time. I also need to be there for my children and grand children. Even though I have had four back surgeries and I am fused in my upper and lower spine, I have never felt that I had the right to burden anyone because I did not take care of myself properly. This recent diagnosis of Type 2 Diabetes has been a wakeup call for me. I feel if I had stayed on the South Beach when I initially started, I would not be in the situation I am in today. It has certainly made me see with clear eyes the value of the South Beach Program. While I know its not the catch all save all, I know it does increase my chances of a better outcome.
