Roasted Broccoli??? Help!!

Okay, I had this idea today that I would roast some broccoli with a little EVOO, garlic salt, and parmesan cheese. Well, it wasn't awful, but it wasn't right either. How does one go about roasting broccoli? What temperature? How long?

The flavor was good, but the texture was a little uh, crispy.

TIA

Cathy, how long does it take at 400? Is your oven gas or electric? I am just wanting to make everything right. The more delicious it is the easier it will be to keep Jason 'in line'!

Gas oven and I usually keep it in about 30 to 40 minutes.

I find that broccoli is easier to burn than some of the other veggies.

Dr. Deb,

Thanks for that tip, I wouldn't have ever thought of trying to roast anything frozen!

I absolutely LOVE this recipe from Cook's Illustrated for pan roasted broccoli made on the stovetop.
