I wonder if any of you gals have some input on my problem. Back in November they found a tumor on my right ovary (all was benign) and they removed it, the ovary and fallopian tube. Now mind you I have been with SB since January 2005 and I have lost over 50 lbs. I had no problems in winters past maintaining, but in the last 3 months since my surgery, I am up about 7 lbs. I actually went back to Phase 1 recently just to detox. I really wasn't doing bad with my eating and granted, winter and exercise are not on the top of my list, but nothing has changed with my exercise and/or activity level since I have started this way of life. Now I will say that about 2 weeks after my surgery, I had about 2 or 3 nights with "night sweats", but all was well until about 2 nights ago, I woke up wet. I am 43 and wondered if any of you gals have had this procedure and could it have possibly triggered the start of "the change" and that is why my weight is off. It is frustrating and I can't wait for weather to break here so I can get out walking and working in the yard.
Thanks for your help,
Kathy

Being 43, you're right in that you could be experiencing some peri-menopausal symptoms.
Actually Joy, I was diagnoised with an over active thyroid back in 2000.
That's interesting!
That is similar to me, when I was diagnosed it was at a routine check up.
Hi Kathy -- it could be too, due to the fluctuations in hormones.
"I wonder if any of you gals have some input on my problem.
Maggie,
Thanks so much for your input.
Kathy,
It's great that you're seeing the endocrinologist on Monday for tests, then back to the ob/gyn if needed after that.
