Does anyone know if the ON jeans are "vanity sized"??  I haven't bought any new jeans in a really long time!!  I was pleasantly surprised to be able to put on a size 14 :)

I used to think they were, but anymore it seems that I need to buy ON jeans in larger sizes than other brands.

Depends on the waist type, but I wear a 6 in Old Navy and vanity size is a 4 for me...so as far as I'm concerned you are a 14! :-)

I think it is, when I had 20 pounds more body fat on me, I was still able to fit into an ON size 6.

I think they change their sizing a lot from year to year and it depends on the style/cut. I buy a lot of clothes from there and every year it seems to be different. When I first started South Beach in '05 they seemed to be vanity sized. I could always wear one size smaller from there. Then in '06-'07 I was wearing a 2 there, about the same size as most other places - like Express, Limited or Vicotria's Secret that I've heard run small. Then this year I went to buy some new jeans because most of my others were literally worn through. They changed their cuts, but I picked up a 2 as usual and it FELL off. I ended up with a 1 in their Diva cut. I also bought some of their dressier slacks last year in a 1 and some 0 skirts, but this and this year I needed a 2 in the slacks - still a 1 or 0 in the skirts though, I hate how big skirts run, sometimes I can't find ones that don't fall down. So I went down in the jeans, up in the slacks - but my weight/size stayed the same. Sizing is just really odd.

Isn't that annoying? I've tried on two pairs on the SAME style, same brand, same time, just different colors - like one pair of khaki pants and one olive - totally different fit. Is it really that hard for manufacturers to be consistent?
