Hey MichaelAnn...

I tried to send you an e-mail but didn't have contact info. I just wanted to send a huge cyber {{{hug}}} to you after reading last week's very disheartening exchange. I was aghast at the tone and manner of the posts aimed towards you. You have been a constant and unwavering voice of reason, support, and good cheer throughout my time on the South Beach board and I, for one, always appreciate hearing your opinions (and fact-based information as well) about all types of things related to diet, exercise, overall good health, sex (LOL!), and finding balance in life. I will never be the size 1 that you are, nor do I strive for that, but we both continue to work towards good health not only for ourselves but for our families and I have been so helped by learning about all the ways you have incorporated healthful habits into your daily life. Thank you, and don't let the turkeys get you down.

Just my two cents, but I think having before and after pictures is a great idea!

MichaelAnn! If anything I think you'd gain their respect! You should be proud of what you've accomplished. (And we know you are!) This is another opportunity to impact someone's life. Isn't that why you keep posting on this board? And you tell me that once you give your presentation and share your story that they aren't going to be dieing to see the picture anyways. :)

MichaelAnn I agree with everyone else. You should show your pics! If anything, I think it would show the kids that they can do anything they set their minds too!

When I saw in your siggy "full time student" I was wondering what you were going to school for. So an elementary school teacher....thats great!

Thanks - I think its just because they are all so young and won't really "get" it. They are at that stage where they are cramming tons of junk in their mouths everytime I turn around, but they are not "overweight" - the joys of being 18, ya know?

Its different here, or even in a room full of 30+ women or a room full of mothers, etc. Once you hit a certain age then more people start to understand the weight struggle.

Anyhow - I'm sure I will do it, I certainly think it will help my grade to have a great "hook". The things I will do for an A, *sigh*

I know you know this, but more teens and 20 somethings struggle with eating issues than may be obvious just from looking at them.

I was not aware of any negative posts over the past week or so regarding you. Honestly, I can not believe that anyone would have anything negative to say in regards to you. I appreciate all of your recipes, information, ideas, and support that you've given here on the board.
