Emotional eaters--what do you do

to get you past those urges to eat for emotional reasons?!

This diet has been great for getting rid of my true physical cravings, but I know I still need to find ways to cope with the emotional eating.

Today is my first real test of this--DH is being a class-A jerk and I'm just upset and right now don't feel like eating anything, but, knowing how I've been in a past, that can quickly change.  I'm going to make myself eat my dinner, but how do I cope tonight with the urge to eat?  I won't be able to get on the computer when I'm at home tonight, since DH's BIL and friend will be there and they will be using the computer, but I know there will be at least 2 kinds of junk food desserts at home when I get there because they usually have that stuff when they get together.

I'm going to just try to relax and get over it, and I've got my "cheesecake" pudding dessert waiting for me at home, but what do you do when the emotional eating urge hits?

All weekend I felt board and went to the fridge to find something to occupy me with.

Well honestly - for me South Beach was never about limiting when or how much I eat, just WHAT. That is the ONLY thing I concern myself with, so if I feed some comfort food - I make some. I just make it South Beach friendly.
