Does your DH know how much you weigh?

I ask this because right now, mine does not.  For most of our relationship my weight has been between 125 and 130 (it was at 120 when we first started dating).  I was generally proud of my weight so I occasionally shared with DH and he has 125 stuck in his head.  Since I went over 130 I did mention that to DH but I'm too ashamed/embarrassed to give him actual numbers.  Last night he made some comment about how I weigh 125 and I felt terrible because he's over 10 pounds off!

What about the rest of you?

I completely agree Maggie! Most men have a distorted ideal weight for women and think that a women must weigh closer to 120 lbs to be fit and trim. But like you said body shape and frame make a big difference and not all women can be judged the same....not that we should be judged anyway. I too am more of a muscular build and people would guess me to weigh about 10lbs less than I really do (right now I am 140 but am trying to get back to 133) but when I am at 133 - 135 I have had people say "your thin, what are you about 120 lbs? Funny!I do not hesitate to correct them as to educate that this is one way that 130-135 looks. I would look way too thin at 120 because of my build.

I put in my other post about people's size. It is always so interesting to me how people at the same weight can wear such different sizes, many times even when they are the same height. Like most people that are 130-135 are not a size 4, but I am. Must be body shape and muscle density.......

Anyway I think its great to change the misconceptions and help people understand what is realistic.

I am a lucky lady who has a DH who prefers the full figured heavier woman!!! He thinks I am good to go right now - but realistically I have at least 20-25 more lbs to go to be healthy. I promised him I would never be one of those bony chicks - just isn't in my make up!

I HAVE to tell Shawn my weight! I want him to be as excited as I am with each pound gone and he can only do that if I tell him. :) He's my biggest supporter and would never gawk at the numbers. I guess I just feel that if the man can see me at my worst, care for me after delivery, deal with my stubbornness, love me through my mood swings and take my family... a number on the scale sure isn't going to scare him off!

Mine knows, he has heard about every single pound through that last 3 years. Since we started together, we kept a weekly log of both our losses. Now he knows that I still weigh every day and that I have maintained my lowest weight. I don't bore him with the minor fluctuation either, but he knows I weigh "around 115". He actually doesn't know that I have dropped about 2 more pounds in the last couple months - I haven't mentioned it because #1 - it doesn't really matter, 2lbs doesn't make that much of a difference as far as numbers are concerned, and he has NOTICED the change in my body the last couple months due to my increased weight training. Also, I don't know if it will "stick" - every number that I got down past my goal seemed so far-fetched to me. I had always said I was big-boned, not one of those skinny types, etc. So sometimes it still seems unreal and too good to be true that I am actually where I am. So I've never said 113 to him even though that is where the scale has been the last 5-6 weeks. I haven't really "said" it here til now either, again, afraid to commit to it in case is a 5 week fluke LOL!

To the poster who asked about height: I'm 5'6 and when I weighed 135 I was a size 8 and I was SO THIN that my collarbone was very prominent. I think clothing size has a lot to do with body type. I have an hourglass figure so when I lose it's noticeable quickly because my shape gets more defined. Luckily, when I gain I still have a fairly nice figure, even if it is a Large hourglass figure! lol

My DH doesn't care about my weight, he's always telling me how beautiful I am. Lose, gain, make- up on, bare faced, no matter what. He's always been that way =)
