Does your DH know how much you weigh?
| Thu, 03-06-2008 - 10:37am |
I ask this because right now, mine does not. For most of our relationship my weight has been between 125 and 130 (it was at 120 when we first started dating). I was generally proud of my weight so I occasionally shared with DH and he has 125 stuck in his head. Since I went over 130 I did mention that to DH but I'm too ashamed/embarrassed to give him actual numbers. Last night he made some comment about how I weigh 125 and I felt terrible because he's over 10 pounds off!
What about the rest of you?

I know! i learned a long time ago not to look at the # in tha tag but the reflection in the mirror!
I lvoe my wedding dress though it's too big now! woohooO!
I'd have trouble picturing 5'11" and a size 4!!! I don't think I could put one leg in a size 4!!! But good for her on being that small and athletic looking!!!
My Dad was tall and slender all of his life. It's a shame that none of his daughters (all 4 of us), took after him!!! We pretty much all got my Mother/Mother's family build, although we're all taller than my Mother!!! All my sisters have extremely small shoe size as well. I have the largest foot of all the girls...and I wear a size 7 !!! Even DD is going to have a bigger foot than me!!!

I'll have to go retrieve my gown from my Mother's house sometime soon. I'd like to try it on sometime and see just how close I am to having it fit again. I'm almost able to wear a blazer that I wore in high school. That was at my Mother's house as well. I'm surprised she doesn't still have my entire high school wardrobe at her house..LOL!!! She REALLY likes to keep things!!!

I have a picture of her somewhere - let me go find it - don't you know I just love standing next to her - hahaah (kidding, sarcastic.... a bit LOL)
Okay, here is me and her at my brother's soccer game just two weekends ago:
If it makes you feel any better, the finger-thumb test doesn't really work.
I come out as large by the finger-thumb thing too - which is part of the reason I had always called myself big-boned and originally aimed for a much higher weight than I ended up at. Have you tried the elbow measurement? That was much more accurate for me. But I think foot size is one of the best indicators, it always seems to hold true that larger feet = larger boned. I don't know any 5 ft small-boned people with size 9 shoes!

It definitely has a lot to do with body type.
Thanks for sharing that, Staci. I was wondering how accurate that finger/thumb test was. Evidently, not very. I still prefer to think of myself as a large frame because I have rather broad shoulders. I did just get my rings re-sized after almost losing my wedding rings before Christmas. I had them taken down from a 7 1/2 to about a 5 on both hands. At least now I lose them anytime soon!!!
