Does your DH know how much you weigh?
| Thu, 03-06-2008 - 10:37am |
I ask this because right now, mine does not. For most of our relationship my weight has been between 125 and 130 (it was at 120 when we first started dating). I was generally proud of my weight so I occasionally shared with DH and he has 125 stuck in his head. Since I went over 130 I did mention that to DH but I'm too ashamed/embarrassed to give him actual numbers. Last night he made some comment about how I weigh 125 and I felt terrible because he's over 10 pounds off!
What about the rest of you?

Rebekah, You are doing so well; I am sure you will be a size 12 before you know it!
Okay, I know I say this alot, so I am sorry if I sound like a nag, but . . .
Your bra size can change with every 10 to 15 pounds of weight that you lose.
Thanks for the vote of confidence, Jamie!!! I'm SO ready just to drop 1 more size. I have 2 new pair of jeans in size 18. I've been trying them on for about a month now and they still seem to tight to wear anywhere. I'm sure I'll get there one day, but it won't come fast enough for me!!!
On the plus side tho, I do like the way I look in my best size 20 jeans. Because I feel more fit now, I am more confident and it shows. I've had several comments lately on how good I'm looking. Can't have too many of those!!!

Nope! He's asked me before because he knows I weigh myself every morning, but I tell him it's none of his business. When we got married, I weighed 240, so 170 sounds much better, but I still don't want to tell him just yet. It would be different if he had any concept of what it was like to struggle with your weight, but he weighs 150. He's very thin and can eat whatever he wants. I know that he wouldn't care at all what my weight was and he would be nothing but supportive, but I just can bring myself to tell him that I weigh more than he does. When I hit 140, then I'll tell him how much I weigh and that I lost 100 pounds. Because I don't think he even knows how much weight I've lost.
I think it's interesting how different all of our bodies are. I'm 5'9.5" and right now weigh about 170 and wearing mostly 12's, but some 14's. I wear mostly
I the feeling about good jeans. I am picking up a pair I bought last weekend from being shortened today and I can't wait to get them! Most of the jeans i try on (and even the ones i have) sage too much in the tush if they fit in the waist. These were perfect (and cheap!): Levi's 512 Perfectly Slimming. I got mine in a great dark wash at Sears (of all places) for $34. Love the tummy control panel!

Glad I'm not alone, Katy!!! Guess we'll both just have to wait it out and see what size we end up!!! Although, a 12/14 looks great to me right now!!!

PS I can understand weighing more than your DH. I guess we both weighed about the same when we got married, but somewhere along the line (pregnancy & medications), I gained and wound up about 15 pounds more than DH. That's about where we were when we started SB. Now, I weigh about 8 pounds less than him. Don't ask me how that happened, but it sure does feel good!!!

Love those jeans, Jamie!!!
I just bought several pair from our local Fashion Bug (the closest store to me just closed).
I found their line, LA Blues, on sale for 50% off and bought a pair of size 20's, 2 pairs of size 18's and 2 pair of size 18 capris (in another brand). What a bargain!!!
Length is always a problem for me. These jeans fit perfect...until I wash them. They still look good with flats, which is what I always wear anyway. Being 5' 7 1/2" seems to be right on the edge of needing a long cut in jeans. At least for these LA Blues anyway.
I'll have to give the Levis another try. It's been quite a while since I tried that brand. To fit me in the hips, they were always too big in the waist.
