What's Up This Weekend?

What are your plans for the weekend? Has spring arrived in your state yet? Will you be dining out this weekend, or cooking in? Tell us your plans!

My daughter is coming home from college for spring break today!!!! So, I hope to spend some time with her this weekend and during the coming week. I hope she sticks around at home a bit! Her girlfriends all had spring break last week, so she'll only be able to spend time with them over the weekend, until they go back on Sunday. My girls LOVE corned beef and cabbage, so we will have that either Sunday or Monday. I know it's not SB friendly, but I'll eat a small piece of corned beef as well as lots of the cabbage and some sweet potatoes.

Today I am heading to Wegmans for a shopping trip and lunch with some girlfriends. I've never been to Wegmans (it's about a 30 minute drive) and I'm excited to find some new and interesting things to have over the weekend. The restaurant we're going to makes an amazing shrimp and crab salad stuffed into an avocado half. I am drooling just thinking about it! After that, we have ladies happy hour in the neighborhood (I know it seems like it, but we really don't do it every Friday :-P ).

I hope everyone has a great weekend!!

I posted some of this in a different thread and then realized that I should have posted it here........

We had our children's Birthday party yesterday, our son turned 4 on the 9th and our daughter turns 8 on the 19th. So we just had a joint party for both. It was a lot of fun. We had a big bounce house with a slide, a pinata and played simon says and musical chairs.

My hubby barbequed hamburgers and hot dogs and we had a fruit platter, a veggie platter and chips. Also a cake filled with chocolate mousse. I stayed strict to SB I had only ate the veggies and a few grapes. I had one very small bite of cake. It was not easy avoiding the big bowl of doritos......but I did not even eat one!! :-)

Today we went to our friends son's birthday party! It was a nice time but the food was tempting. They had pizza and hot & BBQ chicken wings, bread bowl with the spinach dip (one of my favorite and it was so hard to resist), cake & ice cream. But they also had a veggie platter and some fruit so I just stuck with that. I had one small bite of cake just to try how the new bakery was where she got it from. It was good but really SO sweet, my taste buds have adjusted so now I guess those sugary things are no longer appealing. That's good!

I came home and had a turkey burger patty & a salad. I'm pretty proud of myself that with all the temptation this weekend I did not give in. Yeah for me! :-)
