My boss is planning on taking a couple of us out for dinner to Ruth's Chris Steakhouse as a little thank you.
I was looking at the menu and since I'm not sure exactly when we are going so I may or may not be into Phase 2 yet I was looking for friendly Phase 1 options - keeping in mind I don't eat red meat (...and we're going to a steakhouse...).
This is the best I could come up with:
Grilled Portobello Mushrooms
Marinated Portobello mushrooms on our garlic mashed potatoes, with grilled asparagus, broccoli, tomatoes and sizzling lemon butter.
Obviously skipping the mashed potatoes, butter, and tomatoes (ewwww).
If anyone can figure anything else out:

Thanks!

I see they have a portobello mushroom as an entree...that would be a good choice. So would the Ahi Tuna Steak or possibly other fish entrees. I would steer clear of the chicken, it looks like it may have a bread stuffing.
Hi there,
Do you eat seafood?
Jennifer
If he's paying- go with the lobster! :-))
I agree that the Portobello entree sounds yummy and you could always start with the Shrimp Cocktail or the Crabtini

I love seafood but it was the pesto that was turning me off the Ahi tuna steak. I'm not a huge fan of red peppers and, well, pesto doesn't seem very legal to me.
If anything, I'm going to just do the best I can. It's a thank you for pulling 3 17 hour days in a row followed by a 13 hour day on New Years weekend. If that doesn't call cheat, I don't know what does! But, as I keep seeing around the board, life happens. This is definitely NOT a place I frequent and it's DEFINITELY a special occasion, so I'm just going to do the best I can and move on.
