Where do you buy your pants?

I really needed a couple of pairs of jeans and I figured I would buy a couple pairs at Walmart since I was doing my grocery shopping. I went into the Misses section but the smallest size they have is a 4 and they are too big. I went into the Junior department and of course they were already picked through and nothing left. I ended up buying size 16 Slim in the little girls department! The good thing is that they are cheaper in price in the kids section but I don't want to have to shop in the little girls section for pants. I never ran into this problem before. It used to be they never had a size big enough for me!
I am thinking I might have to go to the mall?

Being able to fit into childrens sized pants.
Old Navy and Gap have low sizes.
Also Kohls has a lot of 0 & 2's (not that I need them LOL).

Okay - I have a MAJOR problem with this. Women's 4 is WAY too big and I can rarely find stores like Walmart that carry a women's 2. So I am stuck in the juniors section pretty much all the time.
I usually buy juniors at Kohl's and Target (the Mossimo brand at target runs kind of small, I wear a 3 or 5 in that) But in some brands at Kohl's I will wear a 1. Levi's jeans also go down to 1's and 3's (I generally wear a 3 in Levi's)
By far my favorite place for jeans is Old Navy. They have quite a few styles, different rises, 3 different lengths, etc. They go down to a 00 and I have had no problem finding the small sizes there - I am usually a 1 or 2 in their jeans.
I can also wear a girls size 14 or 16. I've resorted to that a couple times too. Its actually really fun for me and my 7yr old. We got matching tops/skirts at Limited Too for Easter and this last winter I got us quite a few pairs of matching pajama bottoms! She's on;y 7 but already very excited about possible clothes sharing opportunities as she gets older!

If I could get into a pair of girls pants, not only would I only wear those, but I'd wear them with THE TAGS STILL ON.
I work with someone who can easily fit into girls clothes and still thinks she's fat. Makes me sick - I'd be proud to wear a size 16 in girls.
Then again, I'm weird.
-Boston Run to Remember Half Marathon, 5/29/11 (2:35:11, no training!)
-Corporate Run, 3.5 miles 6/2/11 (36:38, 4 days after running the half!)
-BAA 10k, 6/26/11 (1:04:52, wanted to be under an hour...)
-Tavern to Tavern
Also wanted to add that many of the more expensive stores - Ann Taylor, Banana Republic, J. Crew, etc. go down to a 2 or 0 in women's sizes also. The "cheaper" the store (Walmart, etc.) the harder it is to find smaller sizes.

Thanks MichaelAnn, yeah I can definately understand having a hard time
Yeah - I used to be, but its SO hard to find stuff that is both age appropriate and fits. It seems they think everyone who is small is 13. While I do NOT want to look like an old lady - I don't want to look like a teeny bopper either. Somewhere in the middle - young, fun, stylish.
I've had to just kind of suck it up and figure that instead of WalMart my "cheap" is now Old Navy (which used to be my "expensive" range) Now my upper range is usually Victoria's Secret, Limited or Express. I really like their pants because they are cut slim and they have a variety of lengths - but hate the price tags!
