I went to my Dr. on Jan 28th. I had blood test, you know the usual. Triglycerides were very elevated. Blood sugar was slightly elevated. I have family history of diabetes and heart disease. Oh yeah, did I tell you that my weight was through the roof? (of course, I knew this)
Well I was scared from results to say the least which shocked me into a lifestyle change.
I started eating strictly a variety of veggies, fruits, salmon, chicken, almonds (breakfast is oatmeal or cheerios for the heart.)
Went back to dr. one month later and was down 28lbs! She asked what I have been doing. I told her what I eat. She said it sounded alot like the South Beach Diet.
I have continued to lose and now I'm down 37 lbs. I feel great with tons of energy and best of all not craving any sugary foods or white starches AT ALL (sweets and bread used to be my downfall)
Just wanted to share and maybe learn alittle about this diet plan.
Thanks for listening :-)
