Are You Ready to Lose Weight?

Losing weight is a life change, plain and simple. Your success depends on how ready you are to take on the challenge.

Successful dieters break down their goals into incremental stages, with mini rewards along the way. Being too detailed or having an all-or-nothing approach is a recipe for disaster. Fall off the wagon and you're likely to throw up your arms in defeat. Likewise, being too vague will leave you stranded and unfocused.

Let's talk about our goals.  For some that might mean a number on the scale or inches lost.  For others it could be about challenging yourself to set an exercise or fitness goal.  Still others might want to commit to making small changes in their current lifestyle that might be holding them back from getting to the finish line.

We've got 6 weeks until Memorial Day.  Together we can do it!

I have had a really bad problem with the all-or-nothing attitude which definately has been a disaster. I would

Count me in too!

I had to look up when Memorial Day weekend was (I'm Canadian, eh?) and now that I know May 26th is the big day - I'm all up for the challenge!

l think it would be realistic for me to lose 1.5 lbs on average per week for the next 7 weeks ( I did count the weeks right?) 1.5 x 7

Swimsuit? I don't know about THAT, but I am ready for a challenge!

We will be heading to California May 18 to visit DHs family and I REALLY, REALLY would like to be weighing a bit less by that time.

Realisticly, I am going to shoot for a possible 10 pound loss by MD.

I don't know if I am really "welcome" in this whole challenge thing since I don't have any weight to lose and I am already 100% happy with how I look in a swimsuit, but I do really want to be 150% (or more!) happy with how I look in my swimsuit this summer since dh and I are going to Vegas in June and Jamaica in July.

I don't have any scale goals, I just really want to continue to tone and define my muscle way beyond where it has ever been. So my goals are strictly gym related - extra/longer weight sessions, heavier weights, LOTS of muscle tone! I want to really see how far I can take my body fitness-wise, push past even where I am now - see what my body is capable of.

Anyhow - I have a couple really cute monokini's w/the side cut-outs already that I wore last summer and love, but I want to add this one to my collection before our trip:

So if its okay that a phase 3'er joins in - my goal is to add 20min per workout, up my weights, and add one extra workout a week. That's a big challenge right now because I am in the last 3 weeks of the semester and finishing up term papers, finals, etc. So we'll see!

Ok, I am in too. Although, like many of you, I do not have much luck with the challenges! Maybe this time will be different since I really want to be confident in a swimsuit this year.

My weight has been creeping up on me. My story sounds exactly like Misty's, to the letter. I need to work on that to.

So, I will aim for a goal of 120 (I think that is about 7 pounds) and stay consistent with the exercise (which, thankfully, I have been able to do.) The only thing is we are leaving tomorrow for SC for a wedding. This will entail 5 straight days of food. Hmmmm... since I am not a glutton for punishment, I will buckle down when I get back! I am not going to spend every minute analyzing my food while away. (How is that for denial?! ;) )

Good Luck All! Will check in when I get back for my official challenge start!

Oh yeah, disregard my ticker below. It is sooo wrong! :(
