Are You Ready to Lose Weight?

Losing weight is a life change, plain and simple. Your success depends on how ready you are to take on the challenge.

Successful dieters break down their goals into incremental stages, with mini rewards along the way. Being too detailed or having an all-or-nothing approach is a recipe for disaster. Fall off the wagon and you're likely to throw up your arms in defeat. Likewise, being too vague will leave you stranded and unfocused.

Let's talk about our goals.  For some that might mean a number on the scale or inches lost.  For others it could be about challenging yourself to set an exercise or fitness goal.  Still others might want to commit to making small changes in their current lifestyle that might be holding them back from getting to the finish line.

We've got 6 weeks until Memorial Day.  Together we can do it!

Thanks guys for making me feel welcome!

I think I want it in red or white - I already have two monokini's that are black. I'm afraid white would be too see through!

I'm loving that this style is becoming more popular! Last year it was hard to find and this year they are all over the place. Its perfect for me because it covers the ONE area of my body that I cannot do anything about - the saggy skin from losing weight/stretch marks. I'll never be able to wear a bikini due to that, but at least I can get close!

I wished that I were a little more outgoing like you! I don't care what size I am, I am just not a bathing suit person. Shorts and a T-Shirt are the closest I will get!

Well, I grew up on the coast of CA in a resort town and literally LIVED at the beach as a kid. So swimsuits are a staple in my summer wardrobe, even here I take the kids to the pool at least 5 days a week, so I practically live in them during summer! I never thought of it as outgoing, just practical!

WOW! you ladies are so motivating. i have always been in on the "slim" side but now that I'm getting older and my metabolism is slowing down and I'm not nearly as active as i used to be, I'm getting the dreaded belly fat starting to settle in. I need to stay focused on my goal and reach it. Count me in!

Good Luck everybody!

I'm in too!!!

I don't know so much about swimsuits, tho. I've never liked wearing them. I do love swimming tho. And I do need to replace my old, worn out, way too big swimsuit from years ago before we take our trip out west this summer. I've picked out a nice, but non-revealing swimsuit for that. Want to contain as much of the flab as possible, right??? LOL!!!

I'm in for 5 pounds, which is my usual. But this time, I'm adding an exercise goal of 5 days a week. I'm currently getting on average 4 days a week of exercise. I need to kick that up another notch. I need to focus on how good I feel after completing a workout and just take it one day at a time.

One thing I found particularly useful in the past is Cocoa Butter lotion with Vitamin E. Or even just Vitamin E oil. Every time after you shower, so it gets absorbed better.
