I went for a run!!!


When I got back from dropping the kids at preschool, then after a quick run to the store, I was thinking I'd do my pilates DVD - b/c frankly, I never thought I'd be TICKED to see 196.6 on the scale but if you see my ticker from two days ago - I'm up a pound!!! (Damn cheerios - two bites I tell you two freakin' bites!!)


Anyway, so I don't have my mat for the DVD so I pulled on my sneakers and ran out the front door. I tracked our "block" with the car and it's 8/10 of a mile which I did in about 20 minutes with a walk/jog/run/walk/run.... crawl up the front steps style. ;-)


But I did it. Yea! I need to dig out my ipod now that I can use it in the car and on Thursday Sean is off work so he can go with me! (You know, before he heads off to go fly a plane in the afternoon.)

YAY!!!


I did that 2 weeks ago. I am a wimp. I haven't repeated it. It nearly KILLED my lungs. Hurt for the rest of the evening (I think i was battling the last of a bad congestion though)


PLUS, I feel like an idiot out there flopping around and I am such good friends with so many of my neighbors..I didn't want them to see me.


But I've wanted to suck it up and try again. thanks for inspiring me!!!


(as a reminder, you do know of course that you don't really weigh an extra lb of fat! *wink* I saw your ticker this morning and was so excited for you!)

LOL Becky!!! I didn't push too hard but I did run until I couldn't run any more and then backed down - at one point I was like ONE MORE MAILBOX -lol and I barely made it to the next mailbox, haha


And I was surprised but I didn't flop around nearly as much as the last time I ran - about 6 months ago.

I know my scale loves me - but the tough love it not appreciated today! haha


I am saving all my grains and all my cheese and all my fruit for tonight at Discovering Marriage class - I'll be sure to take a pic of the fruit skewers for you all!!! I am getting there about 6:00 to make them - with only the bananas needing to still be cut up and the rest will be cut cleaned and bagged and ready to be skewered.


Grain and cheese = LASAGNA!!!!!

As far as jumping up a pound, welcome to the world of daily weighing. You know that kind of thing is going to happen. It does to me all the time. I hit a new low this morning (only .2 lbs) and since it has been a while since the last 'new low', I looked to see just how long it's been...10 days ago. It seems ever since I hit 200, I'm moving oh so much slower. But I'm thankful for every .2 pounds as long as the scale keeps going down!!!

Congrats on the run!!! That's something I just don't know if I'll ever be able to do, due to these bad knees.

Well, I weighed in at 196.6 so we're pretty dang close!!! Back together again!!! ;-)


Becky - when you said I didn't gain a pound of fat - what did I gain a lb of??? lol

Wow, I give you alot of credit. Running has never been my thing but I know that it is soooo good for you and helps you to get rid of the weight so much faster! You go girl!


Good luck tonight at your marriage class. Have a great time and I can't wait to see pics!
