How is your week going? Are you doing what you need to so that you can achieve your goals? What changes have you made this week? Have there been obstacles that you had to overcome or did you use those obstacles as an excuse. We often make excuses for why we can't exercise more or eat properly.
Have you come up with solutions to overcome your obstacles? Tell us how you've succeeded at that.
If you're still struggling with obstacles, tell us about them and together we'll help you through.

My week is going OK, had a rough day on Tuesday, but it was only one day of eating two things that were not legal, and because of the stomach ache
My week has been going great! I have been watching every single thing I put in my mouth and the weight is coming off really quickly again. Hubby brought up about going to the bar for a pizza and I said....
Got a new book yesterday that I have been wanting to read, "The New Rules of Lifting for Women." I already know all the basic philosophies of it, I feel like I could have written every word he said, so it was nice to see everything I believe about weight training for women written out like that (with the scientific evidence to back it up).
I'm going to attempt the exercise plan that is laid out in the book for awhile and see. The main difference from what I have been doing is that it focuses a lot more on free weights and exercises that work multiple groups through natural movements (squats, push-ups, etc.) and gets away machines that isolate only muscle group at a time. Its also a full body workout rather than splitting up upper/lower body. So you need more recovery days. I already highly recommend the philosophy and "rules" laid out in the book - I will keep you all updated on how I like the exercise plan!
Obstacles - right now just school. Its the final 2.5 weeks of the semester, so a lot of stuff to do. I have all my major papers done for the semester, I really just have finals to deal with - tests are usually pretty easy for me, so finals is my least stressful part of the semester, but its still time consuming and I have a lot of guilt back and forth - if I am at the gym I feel like I should be home studying, if I am home studying I feel like I should be at the gym! Just two more weeks though - then I get to focus 100% on my fitness all summer!

I have been working toward my goals by tracking my eating, upping my water intake and so far I exercised twice this week.
My obstacle is that I hit a migraine and am not getting out of it cleanly.
This week has been going very well.
My neighbor and I are into walking and in our neighborhood we have lots of hills and stairs so it's like interval training. I have dropped yoga and pilates and I need some motivation to get back into that groove. We only walk once or twice a week and then maybe I'll have a walk with husband on the weekend. It's not enough. Mostly what's holding me back is depression for which I'm being treatmented, but I can and do spend days in a funk. Baby steps.
Today's particular challenge is dining out. I perused the menu online and I'm going to go for the caesar with grilled chicken and ask for no croutons and dressing on the side. How's that?
Grilled chicken ceasar is a great choice.
I have been a mess. I have the problem of looking so good in my clothes but when I take them off, i see what damage I have done. Gotten in the habit of eating too much at night, my winter thing. a habit and a bad one. all i need is a few raisins and I am off and running for more. Too much sugar. Work: had to make the cheesecake for a peer's b'day, she was delighted and the rest of the staff. I love it and i ate it too today. Tonight a wine tasting and hors d'ourvres from local restaurants. A business thing. Nothing uncomplicated to eat, won't go next year. I met a cute guy, I thought he was my age, I saw his business card and realized I went out with his father last week!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I have a new bathing suit on my dresser, a size 8 with side ways stripes, it fit pretty good the other week, the problem was the older skin on my legs, that is not anything I can do anything about. Now, I feel like it needs 5 lbs off anyways. The age is just age, the few lbs are lbs!!!!!!!!!!!! I can fix that one. The few lbs make a big difference from being just thin to svelte. I am consistent about working out. I don't like the feel of xtra weight.
I have to create some new ideas about night time stuff. a yogurt smoothie might be more filling, I have to think up some ways to eat without being a problem or drink more herbal tea. Open to ideas.
My son stopped snacks and lost 20 lbs ( I thought he looked good the old way) I had no idea he had weight to lose. he is tall and handsome. if he can do it, I can too. Leila
My week's been going pretty well.......eating well and exercizing too....
