Okay, remember our big ol' jeans thread? well since then I've been trying on jeans and today I got into Sugarland to the First Colony Mall with my mom and all the kids and our babysitters (we were a huge group) and at NY & Co - there they were -
The ONLY pair of 14L I'd been able to find all day (several stores - wth? - told me 14L were only available ONLINE???) anyway they are FABULOUS and they were only $9.99!!!
HOLY CRAP!!! I had to fight to get that price eventhough the sign clearly said West Coast Flair $9.99 the checker girl told me first they were 24.95 then oop, no they are ALL 19.99 before I said one sec and plunked the sign down in front of her and said THESE ARE MY JEANS. lol She goes, oh, I thought we were all out of those.
Nope, I am holding them in my hand!!! I WANT MY JEANS!! I also got a cool new brown shirt off the sale rack - also $9.99 and I LOVE IT. It was just me and Dek in the store, as he charmed the ladies in line into helping him try on sunglasses that were out of his reach, lol, telling each lady, oh gid-jew (thank you) and smiling and hugging. He's such a flirt.
Anyway, so after I bought the outfit ($21.95 can't beat it with a stick!!!) I put it on to go show everyone and my mom gasped and said OMG those jeans are fabulous and she claims I lost another 5-10 lbs just putting the outfit on. She's so nice. ;-)
Abigail is my photographer and I wasn't quite ready for the pic when she took it so I might replace this with a better pic when Sean gets home but here you go:

You look great!
Those jeans look awesome on you, Jennie!!! Gee, if I came to TX, would you go shopping with me??? I need to find jeans for $9.99 that look like that on me!!!
I did a little shopping today as well. We'll say that I didn't find any bargains as good as your's, but I did go down another size in jeans/shorts and in tops, so I'm not complaining!!!

I'm in on the shopping trip to Texas!
That would be so much fun, Sue!!! Unfortunately, you get to Dallas a lot more often than I do!!!
I really wish I could find someone that needed my old clothes. I just sent out an email to family members asking if anyone knew of someone that could use my old clothes or DH's. I have a ton of clothes that DH & I cannot wear anymore. And I can't find a single person to give them to. I've about decided to call the local consignment shop this week and see if she will take any of it. I suppose if I can't find someone to give them to, I should try to make a few bucks on them. Anything they won't take at the consignment shop will be donated. I'm just seriously tired of having a pile of my clothes here, DH's clothes there and DD's clothes somewhere else. I just want it gone!!!

U GO GIRLLLL!!
You are a true inspiration.
I know how it feels to try to find jeans that look decent. My major issue is my tummy and the dreaded muffin top. My younger sisters are always buying me jeans and shipping them to me (they're in NYC and I'm on the Eastern Shore of MD), but most of them don't fit the way I like. Sometimes I say thank god for stretch jeans being back in, but I know that won't last for long. But for right now, I have decided to wait a while to buy any new clothes. I just don't want to buy and then have to get smaller and buy more new again.
I recently went through my drawers and one of my closets and got four large bags of clothes out that i'll never fit again (size 20). My husband will be taking them to the local thrift shop that supports the mentally and emotioally I'll. Also, there are boxes everywhere for planet aid that I will be donating the rest of my clothes to when I am able, my wrist willing.

I donated all my old clothes to charity thrift shops - one for a local woman's shelter and one that ran a home for disabled adults. They would even come and pick up the clothes if they were boxed and give you a donation receipt. We had tons of these type charities in our community - churches, Goodwill, St. Vincent de Paul, etc. They don't turn down ANY donations!

Well, I live in Dallas and haven't found jeans that make me look that good, so you might need to travel to Houston instead. :)
