How long before taste buds come back?

Hi all -- well, after being really, really sick for an entire week, spending 4 straight days in bed, then coming home for work to go right to bed, I'm feeling so much better.
BUT -- I don't have a taste for ANYTHING. Nothing, absolutely nothing. No food tastes good, my normal favorites sure don't taste good, WTH? The last couple of days I'm back to eating my normal quantity for SB, making myself do that, but no appetite at all.
I even tried a SF pudding cup thinking that might taste good -- 60 calories wasted, it wasn't good at all. And even my morning coffee isn't tasting good -- drank tea for a week.
Is this just left over from my virus? If so, wow -- if I have this for the next 4 or 5 months, I may hit my goal ;-)
The only thing that tasted good was my All Bran Garlic & Herb crackers. Anyone else experience this?
Sue

Hi,
I think it's pretty typical after you've been sick.
Yep - I always get like that when sick and right after. How long it lasts depends - sometimes its over in a day or two, sometimes a week. I had walking pneumonia in March for about 4 weeks and I am just now starting to really get my tastes back. The hardest thing for me is veggies, I always lose my taste for veggies when sick.
