Where do I begin?  My name is Lindsy, I just got married March 8th, turned 26 March 23rd, and have been wanting to shed about 10 pounds for the past couple years.  I lost 4lbs before our wedding, but then ate my way through Puerto Vallarta on our honeymoon.  :)  No regrets, we had an incredible time!

I came here to this board a little over a year ago, made it through a week on phase 1 and then got engaged.  Needless to say, there were a million parties thrown for us to celebrate our engagement, and I used that as the perfect excuse to fall off the wagon.  Still, I've stayed very active on the Getting Fit In Your 20's board, which is where I've gotten to know Katy (who is very active on this board...Hi Katy!!!).  I mentioned to her last week that I was contemplating starting up on South Beach again.  I actually kept a lot of the good habits I formed here in just that one week...all whole grains, getting in my fruits, lots of protein, limiting nuts and cheeses.  My main problem is getting in those veggies and eating too many grain servings.  From reading through a TON of the posts on the board, it's nice to see that I'm not the only one that struggles with this!  I also have a BIG sweet tooth, so I've made sure to make a list of the "sweet treat" items I can indulge in.

I've read through SO many posts on the board in the past couple weeks, and also read some fun stuff in the DYK thread!  Everyone here makes up such a great group of positive and supportive people.  I know that I need to be held accountable in order to succeed and I also need a place to go when I feel that the struggle is just to great to get through on my own.  I know it won't be easy, and I don't feel like I have unrealistic expectations.  The hardest part for me is that I've always been able to eat anything I wanted without gaining an ounce, so portion control has been my biggest problem.  On top of that, having 10 pounds to lose puts me *so* close to my goal weight as it is, so each pound seems to take ages to fall off!  It can get beyond frustrating...but I guess you guys already know that, huh?  :)

All of your stories are so inspiring, and I'm sure you feel like this board has had a lot to do with that.  Cathy and Joy seem like incredible CL's, and the posts I read from Jennie, Destiny, and Teresa all crack me up...you ladies are funny funny!  ;)  Katy is always so positive as the CL on Getting Fit In Your 20's and seeing her results made me finally take the leap to come back over here!

So, now that I've written a book, my plan is to start Phase 1 tomorrow.  Right now I have horrible cravings and my goal is to make it through a week of phase 1.  If I feel better at the end of week 1, I might move into phase 2 since being more restrictive has a tendency to backfire on me!

Anyway, I'm looking forward to getting to know all of you!  And by the way...I love all of your siggies!  I definitely need to have one made when I get our wedding pics back!  :)
