I have mine set at 180 b/c I wanted to be in a size 12 and at 180 lbs that will do it.
How did you set your goal weight? Was it a previous low? A certain size? Or did you use a BMI calculator to give you a range?

My primary goal is getting to a healthy weight for my size frame. So I have used a combo of the BMI and the find your healthy weight calculators. Then I set my goal weight for the upper end of those two. Since I don't remember the last time I was at my goal weight, I have no idea what size I'll be when I get there. It will be kind of fun to see where I end up!!!

I set my goal weight (135 - 140) based on what I got down to before and where I seem to level out at.

I started by doing the same thing Misty did . . . so I came up with 125 since I'm 5'5".
I used an on-line chart that I found; however, knowing that I'm gettin golder, I factored age into determining my ideal goal weight.
I used a previous size/weight that I had been happy with. My original goal was 135. I had been about 125-130 when I was in high school and before my first pregnancy. 140 is the "high" end of the BMI charts for my height (5'3"). So split the difference and said 135, hoping I'd be about a size 8.
Of course as it turns out that was WAY too high for my frame size. Once I hit my goal, I continued to lose, even though I kinda moved into phase 3. I ended up going to 115, so a full 20lbs BELOW my original goal.
Like others, my ultimate goal had been body fat percentage. When I hit my original goal weight, my body fat was pretty good - 25%. But I wanted it at 20%. When I hit my current weight is when my body fat hit about 20%, so I know its a good weight for me.
