How often do you eat red meat?

I am curious as to how often you all eat red meat. Is it even an issue as long as lean cuts are chosen? I've heard only to eat red meat 1x/wk and also just 1x/mo, but those were not SBD sources. I'd probably eat red meat 2x/wk if I could but just wondered what the rest of you all do. Thanks!

Sometimes I'll have it a couple times a week, but this week I haven't had it at all.

Thanks! I am addicted to k-bobs and eat them most every weekend. We use petit filet which I'll check on to see if it's lean enough. Plus lots of peppers and onions (my fave)! I just don't want to eat chicken 2x today and thought I'd eat some pork or something tonight (k-bobs are always Sat. nights).

There isn't any reason to limit your red meat intake because of South Beach as long as you choose lean cuts.

We only eat red meat about once a week, rarely more than that.

Kids and Hubby would eat it more if I bought it.

Like Cathy said, there's no limit on how often you can have lean red meat on SBD.

It seems in our house, that we eat a little more red meat (beef) in the summer, due to grilling.

For me, personally, our household has red meat once to two times a week, depending on the situation. Price usually determines how often we have it. When I shop for red meat, it is usually a family pack of lean ground beef and one London broil.

Truthfully, I like poultry and fish better. When I was younger, fish (especially cod and pollock) was a headlining meal almost ever other day.

I find that red meat, for me takes longer to digest and tends to make me feel heavy in the tummy. I dislike that feeling. On those days that my family does have red meat, I tend to stay up longer to give myself to digest. Going to sleep with that heavy feeling is a true nightmare.
