Guys often whistle at me when they drive by. I think it is *so* insulting and degrading and seriously, I don't know of a single woman who would consider it to be a compliment. Forget about trying to get sympathy from my husband - he thinks that is a compliment to me and is actually appalled that I respond to the whistles by extending my middle finger.

I totally agree - I can't stand it. DH does it when I get out of the shower and walk across the room naked. He thinks he's complimenting me and giving me more body confidence, but it makes me feel totally exposed and vulnerable and all the more aware of my poochy belly and jiggly thighs. Blech.

I'll be the first woman you know who likes it! I do take it as a HUGE compliment and its such an adrenaline rush - keeps me "high" the whole rest of the day!

About two weeks ago we were walking the two blocks from our house to the tennis courts in our subdivision - I was wearing some pretty short workout shorts and a tank top. TWO car fulls of young guys (like early 20's looking or even high school) whistled at me during the 2 block walk. What was the real kicker was the look on dh's face - I love when he gets jealous, and I know it makes him appreciate what he's got! I was in such a great mood I kicked his butt at tennis (he was still grumbling over it the whole time LOL!)

And hey - to be 31 w/ 2 kids and have high school guys whistling at you - I guess I don't understand who WOULDN'T love it! Makes me feel awesome!

I don't mind it either and don't find it at all degrading.

I'm with the group that feels flattered by it and it kind of boosts my confidence.

I'm with michael ann...I like it...they don't whistle at everybody so if they whistle at me, it boosts my morale, like even if I don't feel like I look good, someone is finding my body attractive and that is always good for me.

I find it flattering as well, to a certain degree.

Well, I'm glad you all like being whistled at, it makes me want to quit exercising and eating right and gain 50 pounds so it will stop happening.
