Does anyone use the Magic Bullet??

Good Morning,

I am just curious to know if anyone uses and likes the Magic Bullet food processor?  I bought one yesterday and was so excited to use it.  I used the cross blade and tried to chop up onion and garlic.  When the blade was not jammed, it mushed up my ingredients rather then chopping them.  Then all of a sudden smoke was coming out of the base.  Am I doing something wrong?

Thanks!

Hi,

I was hoping that someone who uses their magic bullet for something more than smoothies might be able to help you.

Jena, I have never had good luck using the magic bullet for chopping. Our's gets used every day for smoothies and it does an awesome job on making whole wheat bread crumbs or making crumbs of Fiber One cereal for pie crusts.

As far as smoke coming from the base...that has never happened to me no matter what I was using it for. They do warn you not to leave it running for very long. Is it still running ok and did the smoke stop after the first use??? I would imagine it could just be an initial use 'thing'. But I don't recall our's ever doing that.

If I were you, I would try using it for a smoothie and see if it works correctly.

For nut/onion chopping, I use a little electric Black & Decker chopper. It looks like a really small food processor and works great!!!
