I had a GREAT weekend. I was bummed because I didn't bring matt friendly bottoms to the hotel with the great gym, but my iTrain programs came to the rescue. I had two really good workouts on the treadmill and some yoga one day and core work the other. My neighbor and I have set our sights on running the Bay to Breakers next year so I'm starting to incorporate jogging intervals into my workout. On the food end of things, I bought the girls all sorts of junk and summer fruits for the hotel room. I squirreled away some SB bars for snacks for myself. We had Indian food for dinner so it was easy to stick to the plan. They had gelato for dessert and I had my tastes and felt good about that. On the self esteem angle, I WORE my bikini! I took my one piece and my daughter asked me why I didn't take my bikini. I told her that I wasn't feeling good about it right now and she asked me why. Good question. When I got there, there were a lot of tight bodies and I thought to myself, screw it and put on the bikini for my daughter. I've got a lot of negative messages in my head, but I decided to hit mute and be brave. I felt great about my workouts so I was comfortable in my skin. I got a couple of appreciative looks poolside and that's affirming.
