Is anyone here an endurance athlete?

My long runs lately have been around 13km and nearly 2 hours long. I NEED some kind of nutrition during the runs but have avoided Gatorade and gels due to the sugar content, although that is precisely what I need..

What is the official SBD stand on nutrition for distance running? What products are recommended?

The official word:

When you work out and when you are going to run a race use the fuel method that works best for you, trying to incorporate foods that are SBD friendly. If you need to use a bar or sports gel/drink to help you that is fine when you are training at this level.

Thanks for the info. It is good to know that gels and drinks are allowed. A bowl of kashi with blueberries and yogurt or a WW wrap with PB and banana still only lasts me for an hour.

Hey there.

I am one of those goofy people that can go on a 2 hour run first thing in the morning on no fuel - BUT I have been trying to change that.
