I want to try smoked salmon with a few different things but wasn't able to find it yesterday at the supermarket (but I was in a hurry and didn't look thoroughly). Can anyone tell me where to find it? I'm looking for the thin slices, like what you might eat with bagels and cream cheese.
At one store I see it in the seafood section, with the frozen shrimp rings. At another store, it is in the hors d'oeuvre section, with the fancy cheeses and crackers.
My favorite (and a very tradtional) way to eat smoked salmon is on a toasted whole wheat bagel that's been 'schmeared' with lite cream cheese. Then, you top it with finely diced red onion, a few capers, a slice of fresh tomato, a squeeze of lemon and some freshly ground black pepper.
I've seen it in a couple of places in mine.

Hi Jessi,
I eat smoked salmon a couple of times a week.
There are a few different types in most grocery stores.

I forgot to mention that a little fresh dill is great added to the salmon bagel. :)
