Cream Cheese Question(s)

I tried to find answers to the following, but couldn't do so easily.  Any help will be appreciated.

What does cream cheese count as?

Is the 2TB noted in the foods list per serving or per day?

How big a problem will using regular cream cheese be?  Others in the house use it also, and buying 2 types is not cost efficient.  I don't use that much, just a light coat on a crunchy kashi bar.

TIA.

Cream Cheese is listed under the Seasonings/Condiments section; I cut and pasted the guidelines below.

This is my take on it...

I would first try to move the entire family to light. They don't need the extra artery clogging saturated fat any more than you do - no matter how young/skinny/fit, etc. they think they are or look on the outside.

But I understand some people will never admit that they should eat healthy and will not compromise and you can't "force" it on them, so if that is absolutely not an option, consider the amount you are using. If you can have 2T a day of light @ 5g fat and 69 calories, but you choose to only use 1T or less of regular - then the fat/calories kind of even out. South Beach actually has a similar rule for mayo. Regular mayo is allowed, but you can only use half as much as you could if you used light. I don't see why you couldn't apply this same rule to the cream cheese, it probably wouldn't hurt you any. The only issue is if you are SURE you can stick to a lower amount. I wouldn't be able to. I'm about quanity and I would rather use 2T of light than feel deprived by having 1T of regular. But that is just my personality, plus I actually prefer the light.
